Utami’s journey as a Marketing Content Management Intern at Bukit Vista has been a story of growth, learning, and impactful contributions. Hailing from the Management Department at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Utami embraced her MSIB internship with a focus on content creation, marketing strategies, and communication management, bringing her academic knowledge into real-world applications.
Her primary responsibility at Bukit Vista was article creation and content management, a role that saw her navigating SEO strategies, conducting topic research, and using data-driven insights to craft compelling content. Utami’s work in this area was instrumental in enhancing Bukit Vista’s online presence, creating awareness among potential leads, and building a strong foundation for the company’s digital marketing strategy. By utilizing AI tools like ChatGPT to assist in drafting articles, she was able to ensure accuracy, relevance, and a high standard of content that reflected Bukit Vista’s goals.
In addition to her article-writing tasks, Utami managed email marketing campaigns, achieving an impressive 13% open rate and a 3% click-through rate. Her efforts in email segmentation and personalization were key to maintaining strong engagement with the company’s audience, significantly contributing to lead nurturing and conversions. Furthermore, her involvement in video content creation for YouTube helped boost engagement, with an average of 55 views per video and 78% viewer engagement, showcasing her adaptability in multimedia content.
One of the key aspects of Utami’s internship was her involvement in daily User Relations Communication (URC) meetings, where cross-departmental discussions helped improve the quality of services at Bukit Vista. These meetings were a platform for team collaboration, allowing Utami to learn about strategic decision-making and the importance of continuous communication to improve customer satisfaction. Her supervisor, Reyhan, Marketing Strategist, noted, “Utami’s growth has been exceptional. Her resilience and ability to learn from feedback have made her one of the most valuable content creators at Bukit Vista. Her consistency in SEO and content strategies has contributed significantly to our marketing efforts.”
Through her experiences, Utami gained a deeper understanding of the hospitality industry and property management, knowledge that has been crucial in crafting well-informed, engaging content. She also developed new skills in WordPress management, SEO optimization, and Google Trends analysis, allowing her to expand her capabilities as a content strategist. Her ability to adapt and learn quickly has been a hallmark of her internship journey.
